The Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) is managed by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, acting through its Transportation Research Board (TRB). Program oversight and governance are provided by representatives of airport operating agencies appointed to the ACRP Oversight Committee by the Secretary of the Department of Transportation. ACRP is using the IdeaScale platform (a.k.a. ACRP IdeaHub) to engage the airport community in an online dialogue to develop problem statements that can be considered for future research projects that would help and improve the airport industry. While visitors to IdeaHub may read the ideas, questions, and comments without registering for an IdeaHub account, visitors who want to contribute ideas, questions, and comments, follow ideas, questions, and comments, receive e-mail alerts, or use other site features must create an account with ACRP. To create an account, you must provide the following information: name, e-mail address, and password. Your e-mail address will not be visible to the public and we do not collect, maintain, disclose, or share any information about registered IdeaHub users. Please note: Ideas, questions, and comments submitted to the site are public. As such, please do not include any personal information. If you do not wish to create an account, you can submit your ideas, questions, and comments directly to ACRP via e-mail at ACRP@nas.edu.
The Username and Full Name are the only identifying information that will be displayed with your input on the IdeaHub site. To increase anonymity consider using a pseudonym in your IdeaHub profile. You can edit your profile to change your name to a pseudonym from the top menu on the right. Existing posts will be updated accordingly.
When you create an IdeaHub profile we are requesting your affiliation, experience, and topics of interest to track the extent of our outreach. This information will not be publicly visible. Your email address will be used by IdeaHub to confirm your ideas, questions, and comments have been received and if someone has commented on one of your ideas. Your email address will only be seen by National Academies and IdeaHub moderators in the event that further input on your part is needed to clarify an idea, question, or comment you have created.
The ACRP will accept input from the public throughout the year. The input is intended to help ensure that the ACRP Oversight Committee hears about important issues and potential research projects from interested parties. All submissions, including comments, may be reviewed by members of the ACRP Oversight Committee. By submitting input, you agree that all information shared with the ACRP, including your name and email address, will be recorded and may be quoted in whole or in part by ACRP with attribution.
