COVID-19 has caused an unprecedented drop in commercial aviation traffic. This synthesis could explore issues raised by COVID-19 and how the aviation industry is responding to COVID-19 and the recovery of air travel in the future.

The goal of this research is to provide airports with best practices for addressing the homeless at airports.
Develop guidelines for the design of runway infrastructure to meet the unique needs of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The output of the research could be a guidebook to help practitioners design aviation facilities dedicated to safely and efficiently meet the operational requirements of UAVs of various sizes and configurations.
Compile and contextualize lessons learned, including strengths and areas for improvement, identified by airports of all sizes from around the nation. These lessons learned, derived from documented after action reports and interviews with airport officials, will support industry-wide preparedness when collected and shared.
