Safety Risk Assessment Case Studies

Examine airport planning, design and construction projects and their outcomes considering the utilization of a Safety Risk Assessment (SRA) process. The SRA process, whether the result of FAA guidance or as part of an airport Safety Management System, is intended to identify and resolve important safety risk consequences early in the project formulation process. This project would identify specific benefits for using an SRA process, and potential consequences and risks when an SRA process is not used.
